What Is Modular Deck Stage Rental?

Modular deck stage rental is a system of interlocking platform panels — typically 4′ x 8′ or 4′ x 4′ — that lock together on adjustable legs to build a stage in almost any size, shape, or height. Unlike a fixed-size platform, modular decking can be configured as a compact 8′ x 8′ speaker stage rental one weekend and a 24′ x 32′ graduation stage rental the next, or a raised press riser for a televised press conference after that — using the same inventory. It’s the standard choice for indoor and outdoor events, precise venue fits, and any setting where a towed mobile stage rental isn’t practical or necessary.

Popular Stage Sizes & Who They Fit

Choosing the right stage rental size comes down to how many people will be on it at once and what else needs to fit — a podium, instruments, a head table, sound gear. Here’s general guidance based on our most-booked SD5000 configurations:

Stairs, Skirting, & Guard Rails

ADA-Compliant Access Ramps

ERG provides ADA-compliant ramp systems built to the same 1:12 slope standard used across the industry — one foot of ramp length for every inch of stage height — so performers, speakers, and guests using mobility devices have safe, dignified access to any stage rental we build.

  • 1:12 slope ratio, compliant with ADA, ANSI, IBC, and Florida SREF standards
  • 42″ guardrail with 36″ handrail on both sides
  • Rest landings every 24 feet of continuous run
  • Straight-run, “L,” and “U”-shaped configurations to fit any venue footprint
  • Non-slip surface options for indoor and outdoor use

ADA ramp rental starts at $750 and varies based on the height of your stage rental and the ramp length required to meet the 1:12 slope. Contact our team with your stage rental height and we’ll quote the exact ramp configuration for your event.

Event Stage Rental Florida - Frequently Asked Questions

What size stage do I need?

It depends on how many people will be on stage at once and what else needs to fit. As a general guide, an 8′×8′ stage fits 1–2 people, a 12′×16′ stage fits a small wedding party or panel, and a 16′×24′ or larger stage suits graduations and small bands. Tell us your event type and guest count and we’ll recommend a configuration

Can modular stage rentals be used both indoors and outdoors?

Yes. Modular SD5000 decking is built for both settings. Indoor setups include black skirting standard. Outdoor stage rentals carry an additional charge for skirting and setup due to added cleaning requirements.

Is your staging ADA compliant?

Yes. We can provide ADA-compliant ramp access for modular stage rentals when required. Ramp pricing depends on stage height, total ramp length, landing requirements, and site layout.

How much does an ADA ramp cost?

ADA ramps start at $750 and are priced separately based on stage height, total ramp length, landing requirements, and site layout. Request a quote for your exact configuration.

Do you provide stairs and guard rails?

Yes. Stair units range from $35 for a single step up to $175 for a 5- or 7-step unit, and guard rail is available at $75 per piece for stages 33″ and above.

Are guardrails required?

The Audience Side: Guardrails are not required on the audience side of raised stages, platforms, or the stairs/ramps leading up to them.

Performer Areas: Guardrails are not required on raised stage floor areas like ramps, runways, and side stages that are used specifically for entertainment or presentations.

Performance Area Openings: Vertical openings in the performance area itself, such as orchestra pits or trap doors, are typically exempt.

How much does stage rental cost in Tampa?

Our SD5000 modular stage packages start at $500 for an 8′×8′ configuration plus delivery and setup. Additional deck panels are $150 each. Stairs, guard rail, and ADA ramps are priced separately based on your stage height requirements. Request a quote for your exact configuration.

Can a stage be used to cover a pool?

Yes. Modular decking can be configured as a clear-span cover for pools and other uneven surfaces, making it a popular choice for backyard and hotel events.

What’s the difference between a modular stage rental and a mobile stage?

Modular deck staging is hand-built to your exact venue dimensions and works indoors or outdoors — ideal for weddings, graduations, and corporate events. Mobile hydraulic stages are trailer-mounted, deploy in under an hour, and are built for large outdoor audiences like festivals and concerts. See our mobile stage rental page for details.

Do you handle delivery, setup, and breakdown?

Yes. Every SD5000 rental includes professional delivery, on-site assembly by our crew, and breakdown after your event.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weddings and graduation season, but our team can often accommodate shorter timelines depending on availability.
